Our fitness challenges are designed to help you build strength, improve endurance, and achieve your fitness goals. We offer challenges that will focus on a variety of interests including cardio, strength training, walking/running endurance, and frequency tailored to push you beyond your limits.
Our team of experienced trainers and coaches have assembled these challenges ad will guide you every step of the way, providing support, motivation, and accountability to help you stay on track and achieve your goals. Whether you're a seasoned athlete or new to exercise, our challenge is the perfect way to challenge yourself and reach your full potential.

12 Days of Fitness Challenge
November 24- December 23
Welcome to our 12 Days of Fitness Challenge! This exciting challenge runs from November 24th to December 23rd, 2023, and it's your opportunity to stay active and make the most of the holiday season. Complete 12 workouts within our facility and earn yourself a festive t-shirt!
How to Participate
Registration: To join the challenge and be eligible for a t-shirt, you must register either online or at the front desk. Registration is require and there is a $6 charge if you would like a t-shirt upon completion of the challenge.
T-Shirt Fee Waiver: If you choose not to receive the t-shirt, participation in the challenge is free.
App Option: For a seamless experience, complete the entire challenge using the Gaston Y app! For those who choose the app option, a $3 credit is applied toward your $6 t-shirt fee but only if you complete the challenge! In the event they do not successfully complete the 12-day challenge, the remaining $3 will be charged to your account.
No App? No Problem: If you prefer not to use the Gaston Y app, you'll find progress posters throughout the facility. Use these posters to track your progress.

Bike to the Beach - East Coast (All levels)
Bike to your favorite beach on the east coast from your local YMCA or soak up the sun outside biking in your community. Spin classes, seated biking, or outdoor biking counts. Key: Warlick Y (W), Stowe Y (S), Cherryville Y (C), and Pharr Y (P)

Bike to the Beach - Xtreme (Advanced levels)

Our fitness staff records your maximum bench press, squat, and deadlift. Based on your overall total, ladies join the 200-500 lbs. club, and gentlemen join the 700-1000 lbs. lifting club! (You get a t-shirt) Drop-in anytime from 5:30 am - 9:00 am or 3:00 - 7:00 pm Monday - Friday starting July 17th - 21st. When you are ready to max out tell our staff and your lift will be judged for the club. You will receive three attempts per lift and judged by our fitness staff
